15 Eligible Hollywood Dads Who Became Fathers Later in Life — See the Photos

From red carpets to concert stages, some of the biggest names in Hollywood and music have shown that fatherhood doesn’t come with an age limit. Stars in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s have embraced raising children later in life, balancing legendary careers with diapers, late-night feedings, and family milestones.
For Michael Douglas, fatherhood entered a new phase in 2003 when he and Catherine Zeta-Jones welcomed their daughter, Carys. At 58, Douglas was already a father twice over, but he admitted that becoming a parent again reshaped his priorities. “My career used to be the most important thing, followed by marriage, then children. Now, it’s completely reversed,” he shared.
Mel Gibson experienced a similar renewal when, at 61, he and Rosalind Ross welcomed a baby boy in 2020. Already a father of eight, Gibson expanded his large family once more. Paul McCartney did the same in 2003, becoming a dad again at 61 when daughter Beatrice was born.
For Jeff Goldblum, fatherhood was brand new. At 62, he and Emilie Livingston welcomed two sons, an experience he described as transformative: “Every emotion surfaces… It’s a huge task — and a gift.”
Others like Warren Beatty, who became a dad again at 63, and Rod Stewart, who welcomed his eighth child at 66, also proved that energy and love thrive even in later years. But perhaps no story surprised fans more than comedy icon Steve Martin’s — who became a first-time dad at 67.
And that was only the beginning…
