Trump Releases Footage US Attack On ‘Drug-Carrying Submarine’

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that a U.S. military operation in the Caribbean successfully destroyed a “very large drug-carrying submarine,” resulting in the deaths of two suspected narco-terrorists and the capture of two others.

In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump revealed that the vessel had been transporting “fentanyl and other narcotics” along a “well known narcotrafficking transit route” toward the United States. He added that no American personnel were injured in the operation and credited the strike with preventing as many as 25,000 potential overdose deaths. “No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike. Under my watch, the United States of America will not tolerate narcoterrorists trafficking illegal drugs, by land or by sea,” Trump said.

The president also authorized the public release of video footage showing the interdiction. Fox News later reported that the two surviving crew members were rescued by the U.S. Navy and are currently being held aboard an American warship. Trump’s statement provided the first official confirmation of their identities and nationalities, though specific details have not yet been disclosed.

This operation marks the sixth successful U.S. interdiction of a suspected drug-smuggling vessel since combat operations began in the Caribbean last month. The Pentagon has not released the name of the ongoing operation, but military analysts believe it is part of a larger campaign aimed at disrupting narcotics trafficking routes from South America to North America.

Trump first mentioned the strike publicly during a Friday meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, where he stated, “We attacked a submarine, and that was a drug-carrying submarine built specifically for the transportation of massive amounts of drugs.”
